Our Story

Meet us (left to right)...

Ned and Toni Morris, locals since 2007, married in Lakeside, Union Pier based ​small business owners since 2009 and have been happily raising their two girls ​here since birth.

Joe Kenny and Ned became friends in the bar industry in 1995. Joe ran Finley ​Dunne’s Tavern for 22 years and now owns the Cordial Inn in Brookfield IL. He and ​his wife Michelle, an MSU alumni, have a son Jason, who is also an MSU grad. Joe's ​been a fan of Three Oaks since celebrating one of his best friend's wedding in the ​Dewey Cannon gazebo over 30 yrs ago.

Abby Voss moved to Michigan after college in 2013, working at New Buffalo staples ​like Green Spirit Farms, LOCAL & David's Deli (and even a brief stint at Nelson's ​Saloon). In 2018, she was called to help create & run The False Front, a ​neighborhood cocktail bar inside of David's Deli where she remained focused on ​creating unique cocktails until she stepped back from the bar after the birth of her ​& David's daughter, Charlotte.

David Hoch has worked in the local restaurant industry since his first job at Miller's ​Country House in Union Pier at the age of 15. He made his mark on Michigan City ​before finding a home behind the bar at Copper Rock Steakhouse where he ​elevated service for 10 years. Since then, he's bartended at Bartlett's Fish Camp, ​Leeds Public House, & The False Front, taking a break following the birth of his & ​Abby's daughter, Charlotte.

The Village of Three Oaks is the arts and ​cultural center of Harbor Country with a live ​performance theater, fine arts cinema, art ​galleries, eclectic shops, and one of ​Michigan's largest organic distilleries.
